If there is one thing for sure is that life is too loud for my taste, people are loud, indoors are loud, outdoors are loud and heck even my thoughts are loud. It's like a Rio carnival in here. Even when i sit to meditate my very loud thoughts are trying to scream their way in and disrupt my peace. I usually imagine imaginary police officers cuffing my negative thoughts and dragging them away while they scream as loud as they can facing me. It's as if my negative thoughts are accusing me of something. Then i simply smile and give them a warm send off before i consciously and intentionally turn my focus to the better side of my thinking or no thinking. At first it seemed impossible to achieve and i thought the people who claimed to meditate for hours were either lying or that they were under some kind of a sedative that knocked them down for a while. Now i have proven for myself meditation and the other 7 ways that I am going to share with you are indeed possible to achieve and easy to do with practice. And you will find lasting happiness with the application of these methods by incorporating them in your daily routine. I have done it, millions have done it, you can do it too. Don't overwhelm yourself, just read through it keep an open mind but most of all be willing to apply these methods which will give you your highest good which is your peace of mind.

1) Find purpose in life -
Whether it is a long term meaningful goal or something you're doing right now your purpose in life with the right amount of drive and determination will help you achieve your desired goals in life but above all it will give you the calm and peace for your journey. Finding purpose is not related to making money or gaining recognition right away. You can claim that as you as you perfect your skills and master your craft along the way. But that shouldn't be the central theme in the process. If you do that your purpose in life will backfire at you because you're only in it for all the wrong reasons. Finding peace through purpose is an art of combining your skills and your mindfulness to balance the outcome with the journey and maintain your overall peace while you actively work and enjoy the process. And whether it is contribution to society, creative expression, or embracing spirituality your purpose in life is one of the ingredients of a Zen mind.
2)Build a protective dome -
The outside world can be a cruel and unforgiving environment and also the main reason for the loss of peace and calm in peoples lives. To counter this it is important that you do everything you can to protect yourself from the shocks and attacks coming from the outside. And building a strong inner security is the best way to successfully fight and stop the chaotic plane of existence from entering your mind-body territory. Taking the time to meditate, nature walk, listening to good music, eating well, sleeping well and looking after yourself with mindful practices are your greatest weapons when it comes to fighting external reality which is basically an illusion and finding your power to achieve inner peace by yourself.
3) The bigger picture, the bigger you -
Whenever you are in a distressing situation ask yourself whether you are dealing with the smaller you or the bigger you. Because the bigger you will only be found in the bigger picture. You will never find your bigger self while you're busy looking, dissecting and analyzing your small pictures, which are your day to day problems. Practice imagining the world, the universe and the infinite space out there and your trivial problems ones so big will shrink in to things smaller than a speck of dust which your mind will find insignificant and unimportant.
4) Responsibility and acceptance -
The best way to delete your dead past and create a bright future for yourself is to take full responsibility for your life and develop acceptance of your situation just as it is right now. Blaming others and cursing your situation will never bring peace your way. In fact that is a sure way of staying in the dark and being powerless over your life. Taking responsibility is taking your life back, it's ending the vicious circle of externalizing your your problems and taking charge of your life. So whether its good or bad say the magic words ' I am responsible' and you'll be a free human being again capable of handling anything coming your way.

5) Kill your toxic ego and revive your soul -
The need to control everything in your life, the need to be at everyone's level and failing to do so
and the need to be self-righteous is slowly killing your soul. Being overly concerned about what other people think and having a constant need for their praise and approval will definitely dim the light of your soul and cause enormous damage to your self-esteem and self-worth. And your peace of mind will be at stake as a result of your overinflated ego and your wrong sense of importance. So, to avoid this stop comparing yourself to others, surrender your need for control, stop your judgement and conclusions and develop compassion in your character.
6) Affirm peace with your voice -
Affirmations are always my go to for any issues in my life. For me Affirmations are more than just positive statements. They are what i use to remind myself to appreciate the little things, to love, to forgive, to be grateful and most importantly i use positive affirmations to heal my body and my mind of any problem or disease. More on that on my next blog. For now i'll share with you how you can literally call upon peace using your own voice. It's really simple and easy to do, just write a statement such as "I am at peace with everything and everyone" or " I release all tension in my body and in my mind." You can write the statement your self, just make sure you repeat this everyday until you're fully convinced of the contents in the statements.
7) The funny side of life -
At the end of the day life is a kind of a joke that's teasing you every turn you take. If you're not laughing out loud at the silliness of taking everything seriously you're missing out. And really laughter is the best medicine. It will cure your boredom, your anger, your anxiety and it will even cure your disease. The reason why you are full of negative emotions is because you are holding these false idea of immortality consisting of long lasting problems and a dark future ahead of you. You don't see the truth of the cycle of life and your role in this cycle. Sooner or later this session of your existence will come to an end, and the only thing that matters is whether you lived a happy, joyous and peaceful life while it lasted. Nothing else really matters. So laugh now as you read this line, come on now, crack a smile for me. This are also important minutes in your life. Don't spend them fawning, let go, nothing is that serious. Jump now with happiness for no apparent reason, lough at your problems and misfortunes and you'll take your power back. But most importantly you will restore your inner peace no matter what is happening in your outside world.
